A 16-year-old from Fermanagh is this weekend taking part in an award-winning musical at the Waterfront.
Oisin Clancy is taking part in “Our House” with the Music Theatre for Youth.
His talents were discovered as he was taking part in events at FUEL (Fermanagh Underage Entertainment Life).
FUEL arranges entertainment on Friday Nights to give young people a chance to take to the stage.
Oisin has been a FUEL regular for the last two years. His appearances developed from introducing bands to taking part at open mic nights.
FUEL arranged for him to audition for Music for Youth Theatre and he was successful. He is currently attending his second residential and is now working with top directors from London’s West End and across the world as they produce a show for the Waterfront this weekend.
In September FUEL will be opening up new opportunities for young people for the new committee to run events, and gain experience and confidence as it invites expression of interest in the committee to run from September 2010 to April 2011. For more details see www.thefuelcentre.com.
