The biggest indoor music festival in Fermanagh, Rock the Lough, is back this Sunday!

The Bush Bar has been a loyal partner to the charity fundraiser, and this year it unveils its refurbished venue to all music fans.

The chosen charities for the event, now in its eleventh year, are Cancer Research UK and Autism NI (Fermanagh).

There is a top class line up of bands this year ranging from the acoustic folk of Paddy Shannon, through the traditional Irish party that calls itself Bri, taking a detour through the brasstastic Midnight Graffiti, local ska punks Momma's Slippers, the power pop trio of Yellow Car No Return, the local grunge kings The Savage Rabbits to this year's acoustic stage headliners The Love Seeds. Along with old favourites The Rubber Plants, Niall Dooris, Louis McTeggart, Loaded, Wasted Grace, Tommy Murphy, Shakedown, Polar Beyond, and returning local favourites I'm Not Maggie.

An example of the devotion to the festival and winners of the competition for the band not living up to their name, will be the Judas, whose loyalty means they are arriving straight from a wedding of one of their members.

The music kicks off at midday on Sunday, August 28 and goes for a solid 12 hours with both stages going right through.

Local bikers will be happy to hear that the annual Rock the Lough bike run continues and is always an enjoyable way to give the bikes an end of summer run. All bikes should gather at the back of the Bush around 1pm for a 2pm take off.

£10 secures your place on the run and you can pay on the day with every penny going direct to the two charities.

Full details on the event can be found at facebook.com/rockthelough. Already more than 1,000 people have said they were attending at the time of writing.

All the bands and artists have given up their time and talent for free to make this a great event to raise money for our two chosen charities.

The organisers advise everyone to get there early as not every band can play late, and if you don't get in early you never know who you could miss.
