Great shows don't take a holiday

During the holiday time between the Christmas festivities and the New Year, why not take in one of the productions taking to the stage at the Ardhowen? The Robert Mizzell show on Friday 30 December is already sold out but there are still some tickets left for the other two shows.
Firstly there is 'Eamon McCann and His Band' with special guests John Hogan, Anthony McBrien and John Farry on Wednesday 28 December at 8pm. Eamon McCann is one of the most highly acclaimed singer/songwriters in Ireland. More recently his hit single 'Lay You Down' has soared to the top of the country charts in Ireland, UK and throughout Europe. At his live concerts you will also hear him sing his tributes to Johnny Cash, Charley Pride, Alan Jackson and Randy Travis. A superb evening of country music is promised.
Then 'Flash Harry, The Magic of Queen' takes to the stage on Thursday 29 December at 8pm. Forty years on from the formation of Queen, their music grows ever more popular and the band's appeal stretches across the generations.
Flash Harry are quite simply the best tribute show to one of the world's greatest rock acts. Performing a huge repertoire of hits from every decade of Queen's music legacy, the band have entertained audiences across Ireland, Britain and the USA for over 17 years. For one night only Flash Harry recreate the magic of Queen at the Ardhowen Theatre, with classic tracks including 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'I Want To Break Free', 'A Kind of Magic' and 'Radio Ga Ga' - a guaranteed great night out.
Then the New Year starts off with the ever popular pantomime by Lakeland Players. This year it is 'Sleeping Beauty' and runs from 12-21 January 2012 and there are a few tickets left. 'Conal Gallen Laughin' All Over The World' has added Thursday 26 January at 8pm to the tour, as all the tickets for his show on Friday 27 January 2012 have sold out. Then there is 'An Evening With Brendan Shine' with compere Sean Wallace and special guests Ally Harron and Marion Curry on Saturday 28 January at 8pm.
