Sleeping Beauty
The Lakeland Players are proud to present their 25th Annual pantomime running from Thursday 12 January to Saturday 21 January 2012.
In a far away land long ago lived a king and his fair queen. For many years had they longed for a child and finally their wish was granted. A daughter was born and they called her Aurora. Then a great holiday was proclaimed throughout the kingdom so that all might pay homage to the infant princess.
The 'Sleeping Beauty' story begins at that most joyful day. It is riot of comedy, colour, song and dance not to be missed. It follows on from last year's sell out performance of Snow White and is one of the best loved fairy stories of all time containing all your favourite pantomime characters such as the beautiful princess and handsome prince alongside the wicked fairy. Not forgetting the panto dame and bumbling sidekick.
The end of January sees 'Conal Gallen Laughin' All Over The World' adding Thursday 26 January at 8pm to the tour, as all the tickets for his show on Friday 27 January 2012 have sold out. Then there is 'An Evening With Brendan Shine' with compere Sean Wallace and special guests Ally Harron and Marion Curry on Saturday 28 January at 8pm. Don't forget to pick up your free Spring 2012 Programme of Events from the Ardhowen Theatre Box Office which will take you right through until May next year.
