Ireland's Sweetheart of Country Music Lisa McHugh celebrates her first anniversary with her band in the entertainment business with a big celebration dance at the Cleenish Community Centre, Arney tomorrow night, Friday, January 20. Her support is Sean Corrigan.

Lisa commenced singing at a very early age performing at parties, concerts and dances progressing to nine TV appearances on TG4 TV during the Glor Tire competition in 2009. Being a finalist and gaining recognition in that competition gave her the appetite to make music her career and prepare professionally in January 2011 for her great musical journey that she is presently enjoying.

In March 2010 Lisa decide to relocate to Co. Donegal and in January 2011 formed her new band and with Ray McLoughlin as MD she embarked on her professional musical journey. Ray had worked with Daniel O'Donnell for 18 years. Already Lisa has two albums, five singles, and a duet single with world superstar Daniel O'Donnell to her credit.

During her first year on the road Lisa has worked a busy schedule appearing with her band at Festivals, Dances and theatre shows throughout Ireland and the UK along with guest appearances in Spain and Portugal. During the year Lisa had the unique opportunity to support the legendary Gene Watson on his UK tour and received excellent reviews from all appearances. She now has been asked to again support Gene on his UK tour when he returns in the summer.

Lisa's diary is almost full this year with return appearances scheduled along with new areas in Spain, Portugal, UK, Ireland and USA. A new album is almost complete and ready for release with a promotional single 'ready to hit the decks'.
