Well known local singer, Jacqui Bannon, from Enniskillen is this week embarking on a new venture with an all female singing group The She Amigos. Jacqui was a competitor on TG4's country music talent show Glor Tire, last winter and reached the semi-finals. She has joined forces with well known singer/songwriters Linda Welby from Co Galway, best known for her song, "The Galway Fiddler" among many others. She has travelled the USA and Australia performing her own songs. She also hosted her own TV show there, as well as radio interviews and live concerts. The third She Amigo is singer, Dee Brown, from Raphoe, Co Donegal.

Already The She Amigos have received an award at the Limerick 102.fm radio awards night in March this year for the best new female act, with their song called, "I'm A Woman", sharing the stage with other well known artists on the night were Crystal Swing, Declan Nearney, Lisa McHugh and Nathan Carter. The She Amigos are setting out on a Big Charity Walk this week beginning yesterday (Wednesday, July 11) to July 15, which will cover 140 miles, walking from Galway city to Dublin city. They will be walking for three different charities. Jacqui is walking for Diabetes Ireland, Linda is walking for Aware (mental health) and Dee is walking for Breast Cancer Ireland.

The She Amigos have released a new single called "Making Our Way to Dublin". The song was written specifically for their walk by well known musician and Radio Presenter, Seamus Shannon and was recorded at Greenfields Studio, Galway.

The website on www.thesheamigos.com gives details on all that is happening with the She Amigos and their walk and there will be a charity link where people can donate.
