Pupils at Florenececourt Primary School discovered they were stars of the show when a travelling cinema came to show a film at the school.

One of the teachers at Florencecourt PS, Mrs Iona Boyd has been involved in the Crossing Borders on Screen Project. As part of this project she chose to make a film which included the pupils. "There was great excitement the day the film crew arrived to film around the school and interview the stars." In all there were four days' filming and the end product has a flavour of 'School Around the Corner' meets 'Florencecourt's Got Talent'.

The children watched in amazement as they and their friends appeared on the big screen discussing such things as what they enjoyed about school and hopes for the future, then watched their jokes, songs and rhymes being told on screen.

The pupils from Little Bridges Community Nursery also had a chance to visit the cinema.

The pupils of Florencecourt PS then got a chance to revisit the cinema to watch a feature length film.

The Crossing Borders on Screen Project delivered via Cinema North West has proven to be an excellent Project for the School. Kenny Donaldson, Director of Service for South East Fermanagh Foundation commented: "The Crossing Borders on Screen Project has proven to be a positive development within our work at SEFF. The organisation's Mission Statement is; 'Supporting Victims and Survivors, Strengthening Communities.' Therefore the CBOS Project is very much in line with our aims and objectives of building a strong and cohesive community."
