A REAL treat is in store for all country fans at Carrons Corner Bar, Ederney tomorrow night (Friday) when singing sensation John Glenn takes to the stage for a night of non-stop hits.
The country legend burst onto the scene back in 1975 when he was the one chosen to replace Big Tom to front the hugely popular Mainliners with whom he toured Ireland and Britain for the following three years.
In his time with the band he released classic albums including ‘Sunny Side of the Mountain’, ‘Turn Back The Years’, ‘Sweet Little Blue Eyes’ and ‘Somewhere to Sing My Songs’.
He then went on to form his own band, The Wranglers and the successes continued with a tour of America.
He was also one of the main Irish bands fronting the Country Music Festival in Wembley back in 1978.
John and his band were regularly on many of the country music shows on television including ‘Make Mine Country’.
Expect a huge crowd to see this living legend in action backed by The Anthony McBrien Band tomorrow night.
