BORDERLINE Players are bringing Neil Simon’s hilarious comedy, Rumours to the stage at the Ardhowen Theatre for three performances this November on Thursday, November 13, Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 at 8pm each night.

The comedy revolves around a dinner party organised to celebrate the 10th wedding anniversary of Charley and Vivian, but when the hostess disappears and gunshots ring out, it becomes obvious to the guests that this is one evening which won’t be going to plan.

Directed by and starring Siobhan O’Brien, the play follows on from the success of the group’s pantomime Cinderella which performed to sold-out audiences last April.

The cast features many of Borderline Players best known faces including Patrick Duggan as barrister Ken Bevans, Frances McGloin as Claire Cummings, Joseph Walsh as financial consultant Leonard Cummings, Aiden Gilroy starring as analyst Ernest Cusack, while Geraldine Britton is his television star wife Cookie.

Also starring in the production is Donal Monaghan as politician Glenn Cooper, Nicole Beaumont as his unhinged wife Cassie, while Teresa McLoughlin and Terry O’Connell add to the mayhem when they intervene as Police Officers Casey and Conklin.

Siobhan says the group is looking forward to bringing the production to life on the Ardhowen stage and welcoming local audiences into this very crazy circle of friends.

“Audiences are guaranteed an evening filled with lots of laughs and a few surprises, and should also be advised to expect frequent mild language,” she adds.
