The MS Society Fermanagh Branch is calling for country music fans to join them for a special ‘Country Night’ to raise funds for the charity.

This unique fundraiser will bring Nashville to Fermanagh for one night only featuring local country music star Ritchie Remo and his Big Band and Ulster’s Champion Line Dancers ‘Movers and Grovers’ The MS Society Country Night will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Manor House Hotel from 9pm – late.

The Country Night is being organised by Fermanagh woman Siobhan Allister who was diagnosed with MS in 2009. Since then Siobhan has become an integral member of the MS Society Fermanagh Branch arranging fundraisers and events as well as providing information and support to other local families affected by MS through the MS Society’s Support Volunteer programme. Siobhan is also a member of the MS Society’s NI Council.

Siobhan Allister, MS Society Fermanagh Branch, said: “We’re really looking forward to the Country Night which promises to be a fantastic night filled with great music and lots of good craic. We’ve also got lots of great prizes on offer too! All the money raised will go directly to supporting local people living with MS. Our branch provides vital services including information, exercise classes and emotional support for everyone affected by MS.

“MS is usually diagnosed in your 20s or 30s; news that can be scary and heart-breaking. MS can get steadily worse, or symptoms can come and go unpredictably throughout your life. That’s why it is so important that the branch is here to provide support when people need it. I’d like to encourage everyone to come along, enjoy the Country Night and show your support for local people living with MS.

“I’d also like to say a special thanks to the Manor House Hotel and all the local businesses who have supported us to make the Country Night such an exciting event”.
