DONAGHADEE MALE VOICE CHOIR The Donaghadee Male Voice Choir performs at The Ardhowen on Saturday at 8pm with accompanist Ivan Black and compere Gene Fitzpatrick. Founded in 1932, Donaghadee Male Voice Choir has over 70 members and its repertoire embraces both sacred and secular music including popular, folk, traditional and operatic works. Musical Director, Robert Wilson MBE, who was decorated for his services to music, has been at the helm since 1968 and has guided the choir to many international successes having competed as far afield as Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Malta, Poland and Spain as well as in the UK and Ireland, amassing a total of 46 first places. The Choir has toured Canada and the USA performing in Carnegie Hall and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York and they have also made numerous recordings. A BIT ON THE SUNNY SIDE Ireland’s most dysfunctional couple, the Murphy’s, are at it again! Donegal-based comedian Conal Gallen has become one of Ireland’s most popular performers over the past 30 years. After the massive success of their first play ‘A Bit On The Side’, Conal Gallen and his son Rory have teamed up once again to produce another comedy masterpiece. Conal and the gang perform ‘A Bit On The Sunny Side’ on Tuesday, May 26, at 8pm. Expect pure fun, laughter and craic from start to finish.
