The Gerry McCann weekend took place at the weekend in Irvinestown with a fantastic line up of events and musicians.
The current senior All Ireland Champions The Knockmore Ceili Band headed the line up performing at the opening concert in the Delaney Suite, Mahon’s Hotel.
On Saturday, March 21 workshops, which were open to everyone, were taught by expert tutors providing a great opportunity to learn new tunes and improve skills and technique.
On Saturday night in Sacred Heart Church Irvinestown there was mass for the deceased members of Comhaltas with Irvinestown CCE musicians providing the music.
And on Saturday night, there was a session of music with well known musicians Annette Owens, Brenda Mc Cann, Brian McGrath and Gerry McMahon. Annette Owens, Brenda McCann and Brian McGrath.
Molly’s Bar and Restaurant was the venue for the Junior session on Sunday, providing a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to perform together to listen to stories from great local story teller, Paddy Montague.
