IAN HOWARTH

HOWARTH Ian The wife and family of Ian would like to express our gratitude and appreciation of those who sympathised with us in our recent sad bereavement also those who attended the funeral. We are indebted to those from our Elim Church, Brookeborough, who went to visit Ian each week in hospital. He just loved a Bible reading and been prayed for as sometimes he was unable to read the Bible for himself. He loved God so much and he thanked Jesus everyday for dying for him. Thank you Pastor Nathan for all your spiritual care of Ian, may our Lord God bless you and your family for all the love you have shown. I know and understand many of our friends and relations would have loved to attend the home and his funeral but due to Covid-19 were unable to do so. Thank-you Pastor Nathan and Pastor Stephen for taking the service, a wonderful Thanksgiving for the life of a true gentleman. The hymns were My Jesus I love thee, I know Thou art mine, The Lord's My Shepherd, There is coming a day when no heartaches shall come. Thank you everyone who has sent me such lovely cards and letters who knew Ian. Thank you to our catering manager and ladies from the Church who made such a lovely tea after the funeral service. Thank you to A&E also Ward 6 and Ward 8 and ambulance service for all your care of Ian. Thank you to Dr. McConville and his staff, also the nurses and care workers at Millcroft Nursing Home. He was so happy there he called it home, you all spoiled him. Also Rodney Hanna for fixing up his TV so he could watch football and cookery programmes. Ian just loved going to Elim every Sunday, also the prayer meeting on Tuesday nights. Sometimes he would start singing a hymn which he liked. He was tea maker at the Young at Heart Club each month. He always made sure Margaret Bogue and her sister got butter for their dinner. Thank you Austen and staff for the kind and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. Sincerely yours, Edith Kenny-Howarth and family. Psalm 48, v14.
