STANLEY ARMSTRONG

ARMSTRONG Stanley The family of the late Stanley Armstrong would like to thank all those who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement. To everyone who offered support, provided food, telephoned, sent messages and sympathy cards, we thank you. A special thanks to all those who cared for Stanley during his illness: Dr O. Sheehy and staff of Bridgewater Suite, Belfast City Hospital; the doctors, nurses & staff at Irvinestown Health Centre; the staff of Gordons Chemist, Irvinestown; the doctors, nurses and staff of SWAH; and the palliative care team, especially Janet, Bregeen and Sandra. We are grateful to friends and family who observed the restrictions in place at the time of Stanley's funeral, and to those who formed a guard of honour for the cortwhile observing social distancing. Special thanks to Rev John Woods for his pastoral care and officiating at the funeral service; and to Canon Ian Ellis and Canon Brian Harper for their prayers at this difficult time. We would also like to acknowledge the support and guidance provided by our funeral director Mr Austen Stinson and his staff who arranged the funeral in a most respectful and efficient manner despite the challenging circumstances. Finally, we would like to thank Kyle Somerville for piping as Stanley was taken to his final resting place, and also the gravedigger John Noble. Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation.
