JOHN MCHUGH

McHUGH John The family of the late John McHugh wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who sympathised with them following John's death on 20th September 2020. A huge thank you to the paramedics, doctors and nurses of the Emergency Department and Ward 3 at South West Acute Hospital, to Dr Meade and the staff at Lakeside Medical Practice, to Paul Hughes and the team at Hughes Pharmacy, and to the District Nursing Team, especially Jill and Caroline who attended John. We are deeply grateful to John's carers, especially Ann Benson and Geraldine Cox, and to the Care Plus Team, particularly Tracey McDonnell, for the attention, consideration and professionalism shown to John. Our heartfelt thanks to our extended family, friends and wider community for their support. To Hazel Johnston for her kindness to John over the years and for the beautiful food that she brought to our home. We thank all of those who phoned, sent messages of sympathy, letters, Mass and sympathy cards and those who made very generous donations to St Vincent de Paul, a charity very close to John's heart. Thank you to those who attended the Funeral Mass, participated in the service via the webcam and gathered along the Funeral route from our home at Ashwoods, at East Bridge Street and outside St Michael's Church. Our sincere thanks to Monsignor Peter O'Reilly who attended John in hospital and celebrated his Funeral Mass. We are deeply grateful to Canon Noel McGahan for his visits to our home, his enduring friendship and for officiating at the graveside, together with Monsignor O'Reilly. Our thanks to David Robertson and the musicians who provided the beautiful singing and music during John's Funeral Mass. We are very grateful to Fr Brian D'Arcy, Fr Maurice McMorrow and Fr Raymond Donnelly who visited our home. The telephone calls and letters of sympathy from Fr Victor, Fr Cathal Deery, Fr Joe McVeigh and the priests of the Graan Community were also very much appreciated. Our thanks to Eamon and Mary Cadden, Funeral Directors for the professional, dignified and compassionate way in which they managed John's Funeral arrangements. Thank you to the gravediggers who prepared John's final resting place and to Jimmy Rodgers for his attention to detail in preparing the Church for John's Funeral Mass. Our thanks to the Enniskillen Hotel for the beautiful meal which they provided after John's Funeral. As it would be impossible to thank everyone personally, please accept this notice as a token of our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us at this time. John's Months Mind Mass will take place on Saturday 31st October 2020 at 6.00pm in St Michael's Church, Enniskillen.
