We would like to thank all our friends, neighbours and extended family who provided us with help and support during the time of the wake and funeral. We would like to thank Mary for all the beautiful food sent to the house throughout the wake, and all those who called to offer sympathy and support, sent personal messages, cards, flowers and letters of sympathy. A special word of thanks to Dad's carers Pauline and Margaret for their kindness, dedication and professionalism in caring for Dad and to Dad's neighbours Seamus, Mary, Hannah and James and his niece Ann Marie and all those who were regular visitors to Dad over the years, especially when his health declined. We would like to thank the medical teams who looked after Dad over the past six years, Nurse Geraldine O' Riordan and the Community Public Health team, Kathleen and the staff of Scotstown Pharmacy, Dr Micheal McGinnity Monaghan, the staff in Monaghan County Hospital, Dr Hayes, the ICU and Surgical 1 Staff in Cavan General Hospital, Dr O' Connell and staff in the Eye Unit Mater Hospital Dublin, the staff of Our Lady's Hospital Navan and the Palliative Care Team. The family were overwhelmed by the numbers who lined the route on the afternoon of Dad's funeral to pay their respects to him as the funeral cortege made its way from the family home in Kilcorran to Dad's final resting place at St Tierney's Church Roslea. Thank you to everyone who was there and to Dad's Social Dancing Friends and the members of Knocks Running Club for their guards of honour.
