A CHRISTMAS CAROL, THE MUSICAL

ELO celebrates their twentieth year with the seasonal family favourite, ‘A Christmas Carol’. The classic Dickens tale of the miserly Scrooge redeemed by visits from the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future has been adapted for the stage by award winning song-writers Lynn Ahrens and Alan Menken.

‘A Christmas Carol’ will definitely get you in the mood for the festive season. Performances take place at 8pm every night this week until Saturday, December 12.

THE WHISTLIN’ DONKEYS

Talented Tyrone based Irish Folk band, The Whistlin’ Donkeys have been attracting plenty of attention over the last 12 months, sharing the stage with icons such as The Beach Boys, Hot Chocolate, Kian Egan and Shane Filan and appearing as special guests with Smokie.

This lively band features Fergal McAloon, lead vocals/bodhran; band founder Stevie Corrigan, guitar/backing vocals; All-Ireland Banjo Champion Tomas Quinn, banjo/backing vocals; Oscar Bradley who made his acting debut in Game of Thrones last year, drums; All-Ireland Champion fiddle player Mickey Kerr, fiddle, and the newest member, Danny McCormack, bass. Join them for a great night of music and craic on Thursday, December 17, at 8pm - the perfect Christmas celebration!

ROCK ‘N’ ROLL YEARS AND DANCE HALL DAYS

From the producers of ‘Do You Come Here Often’ comes a great new show celebrating an era of Beehive hair styles, sharp suits, Brylcreem and of course 'boy meets girl'. The ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Years and Dance Hall Days’ on Friday, December 18, at 8pm brings back all the memories of a decade that saw the birth of pop, from the ballads of Ruby Murray, Perry Como and Dean Martin to the early rock ‘n’ roll of Buddy Holly, Brenda Lee and Bill Hailey.

Starring Ireland’s most successful showband, Clubsound; The Dixies’ Joe Mac; the rich smooth and melodic voice of one of Ireland's finest songstresses, Elaine Wood; Janet McCartney and former compere at the Abercorn and cabaret singer, Trevor Kelly. FLASH HARRY - THE MAGIC OF QUEEN

Flash Harry have been celebrating the music of Queen all over Ireland and the UK for more than 20 years and still fans come to pay homage to the greatest rock band of them all. Flash Harry brings a show that embraces the very essence of live music, talent, energy, enthusiasm, passion and pure showmanship. On Saturday, December 19, at 8pm, the Ardhowen audience will be rocking out to Queen’s greatest hits from ‘Radio Gaga’, ‘We Are The Champions’, to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and everything in between.

THE HIGH KINGS

Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden, all renowned vocalists and musicians, come together to create the most exciting Irish ballad group to emerge since The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem electrified the worldwide folk revival of the 1960s.

The Sony signed, multi-platinum artists showcase their incredible versatility both vocally and instrumentally, bringing a great acoustic flavour to original songs as well as some old favourites. The High Kings are true heirs of Ireland’s folk heritage, together playing thirteen instruments during their performances. ROBERT MIZZELL IN CONCERT

Robert Mizzell and his band The Country Kings are back at The Ardhowen for another energy filled show on Wednesday, December 30. Louisiana born, Robert has made Ireland his home for over a decade and is now one of the top country artists in Ireland, his popularity spreading into Europe and to such distant territories as Australia. This hugely popular country artist will be performing all his most requested songs such as ‘Say You Love Me’, ‘Thanks A Lot’, ‘Who’s Gonna Dance With Sally Ann’, ‘Mama Courtney’, ‘Dance With My Father’ and ‘Home’.
