RICHARD MOHAN
MOHAN Monsignor Richard (Dick) (2nd July 1944 1st January 2023) The family and friends of the late Monsignor Richard Mohan express their sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to all who sympathised with them following their recent bereavement. We express our thanks to friends, parishioners and fellow priests, and all who attended the removal of the remains, the Vigil, and the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Clones. Thanks for all kind thoughts, cards, expressions of sympathy and generous donations made to the Sanctuary of St Patrick, Lough Derg. We greatly appreciate the many people who travelled long distances to attend Richie's wake and funeral. Thanks to the parishioners of Aghadrumsee, Clones, Connons and Coonian who gathered along the route to Sacred Heart Church, Clones, and to Richie's place of burial, St. Joseph's Church, Coonian. We are grateful to the paramedics and staff of the SWAH for their excellent care during Richie's short illness and to Fr Raymond Donnelly, for his pastoral care as Hospital Chaplain. Thanks to Fr. Jim Moore and Fr. John Chester for their pastoral care and support, to Bishop Larry Duffy, who celebrated the Funeral Mass, Bishop Liam MacDaid, Archbishop Noel Treanor and all the clergy who participated in the Mass. Thanks to Fr Joseph McGuinness who led the singing, and to Clones choir and organist for the beautiful music. We are grateful to Fr Brendan Gallagher for the committal and graveside prayers in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Coonian. A special thanks to Clones Parish office staff for producing the Vigil and Funeral Mass booklets. We greatly appreciate the invaluable assistance of the Clones Parish Ushers who stewarded over the period of the wake and Funeral Mass. Thanks also to the Sacristans for their help in the church. Another word of thanks to Kieran who voluntarily brought Richie's beloved RS2000 car to Sacred Heart Church, where it remained throughout the time of his wake and Funeral Mass. We sincerely thank Paul Mohan Funeral Services for the dignified manner in which they carried out Richie's funeral and to those who prepared and beautifully finished Richie's final resting place. Thanks to the staff at Rusk's Restaurant for the excellent hospitality and catering. For all the kindness and generosity shown to Richie by the parishioners and pilgrims he ministered to since his ordination almost 53 years ago, we add our grateful appreciation. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. ____________________ Monsignor Richard Mohan's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph's Church, Coonian, on Sunday 5th February at 10.00am.
