MENA CORRIGAN
CORRIGAN Mena RIP The family of the late Mena Corrigan, Rossdoney her daughters, Marie and Aine, her son, Cathal, her sisters, brothers and extended family wish to thank most sincerely all who journeyed with them since Mena's recent sudden death. Special appreciation to the Ambulance Service and to the Staff of the South West Acute Hospital who showed her great care during her final hours. Thanks to Monsignor Peter O'Reilly who came to the hospital and offered support and prayer to the family. Thanks to all who came to meet Mena's Remains at Bellanaleck and followed them on her journey home. Our appreciation to the many friends and neighbours, near and far, who came during the following days to offer comfort, prayers, Mass and Sympathy cards, floral tributes and gifts. A special thanks to those who kept night vigil as Mena reposed in her family home. Gratitude to Father Seamus Quinn who visited the family home everyday, bringing support and understanding and helping in the planning of the Funeral Liturgy. Thanks, too, to Fathers Dessie Corrigan SMA and John Finnegan PE who visited the home, offering special prayers for Mena and all the family. Thanks, too, to the Sisters of Mercy, for their support and kind visits. A special word of thanks to Srs. Edel and Anne who spent much time helping the family and the grandchildren prepare for their participation in the funeral liturgy. The family greatly appreciated the moving liturgy of the Funeral Mass , with Fr. Seamus Quinn as homilist and main celebrant, with concelebrants Fr. Brian D'Arcy CP and Fr. Dessie Corrigan SMA, long time friends of Mena. The accompanying music added much to the beauty of the liturgy. Gratitude to the many good friends and neighbours who helped inside and outside the home during the wake and the funeral, especially the car-park attendants and the gravediggers. Thanks to Peter Carty, Funeral Director and Staff for their efficient and dignified manner in carrying out the funeral. To Bilberry, Garrison, sincere thanks for providing and serving the refreshments. Thanks, too, to all who helped in the Hall in any way. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this will be accepted as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Mena's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Arney on Saturday, April 1st at 11.00am.
