PADDY MC DERMOTT
McDERMOTT Paddy We, the family of Paddy McDermott (wife Brigid, daughters Martina and Patricia, sons Malachy and John, and stepchildren Joe and Tina) wish to acknowledge and extend our heartfelt thanks for the love and support shown to us during our sad loss. We are very grateful to all who visited Paddy in hospital or sent Mass cards, sympathy cards or flowers, phoned or got in touch over social media. It was a great comfort to us in our grief. We wish to express our profound gratitude to the staff of Ward 8, at the SWAH for their excellent care of Paddy during his brief illness and for the compassion shown to our family at a very difficult time. We send our most heartfelt thanks to Peter Carty and Bernard Carty for taking care of Paddy's wake, funeral arrangements and so much more. Your professionalism, efficiency and gentle guidance was much appreciated and allowed us the space to grieve. We really appreciated all who attended Paddy's wake, stood out along the route to the church, or gathered at Mary Queen of Peace Church for his Funeral Mass, especially those who had travelled a long distance to pay their respects. Paddy lived in the Belleek/Garrison area for most of his life, and we were touched to meet people who had known Paddy from many years ago, and those who shared with us their fond memories of him. Paddy's children were also grateful to reconnect with old friends from their own childhood and it meant a lot to us. A special word of thanks to all who helped during the Funeral Mass, including Fr Beggan for celebrating the Mass, Ann McCaughey and Louise Leonard for the beautiful hymns and music, and those who helped in the cemetery. Our sincere thanks also to Dawn and her team at The Bilberry for the lovely meal afterwards. We are grateful to all who supported us and helped in any way during that time. We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of our deep gratitude to you all. ______________ Paddy's Month's Mind Mass will take place at Mary Queen of Peace Church Garrison on Sunday, 14th of May at 11.30am. May Paddy rest in peace.
