ROONEY Ellen (Nellie) Altagohan Coonian Fivemiletown 16th April 2023 The family of the late Nellie Rooney wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and kindness shown to us following our recent sad loss. We offer heartfelt thanks to all the relatives, friends and neighbours who visited her home, attended the wake and funeral Mass and who provided so much support. The friendship and care given to Mum by her dear friend Julie Foy meant everything to our family.We are immensely grateful for the medical care Mum received from the doctors and staff in the Maple Group Practice and from the district nurses, rapid response nurses, Marie Curie nurses and Health Care assistants. They all treated Mum with the utmost gentleness and respect. We express sincere thanks to those who brought gifts, sent cards and letters, telephoned, sent messages on social media and watched her funeral online. We are indebted to the Foy and Primrose families for providing parking facilities during the wake and to those who managed the traffic at her home and at St Joseph's, Coonian. We offer profound thanks to Father Brendan Gallagher and Canon Laurence Dawson for their faithful ministry to Mum in her failing health and for their concelebration of her funeral Mass which was uplifted by the beautiful music provided by Karen McElroy and Ryan Mulligan. We are especially thankful for the respectful and attentive way in which the gravediggers prepared Mum's final resting place. We want to acknowledge and thank Paul Mohan and Ollie Swift, Funeral Directors, for the kind and sensitive way they carried out the funeral arrangements. We are grateful to the staff in Rusk's Restaurant, Fivemiletown, for providing the refreshments. As it is impossible to thank everyone personally, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions. -------------------- Nellie's Month's Memory Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 21st May 2023 at 10.00am in St Joseph's, Coonian.
