JOHN JOE KEOWN
KEOWN John Joe The family of the late John Joe Keown of Loughside Road, Garrison, County Fermanagh, - his wife Mary, daughter Orla (Mike), son Conor (Grainne), sister Bernie, brother Jim, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephew and grandchildren, wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our recent loss. We are hugely appreciative of the support shown to us by the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the Wake or Requiem Mass, sat up during the Wake and who provided practical support in the home and on the farm in the days leading to and since the Funeral. We count ourselves lucky to live within such a supportive community and you have been a source of much strength. Thanks also to all who telephoned, sent messages and cards and made charitable donations and to those who travelled long distances to spend time with us. Hearing stories from and reconnecting with John Joe's many friends from over the years was of great support to us. A special word of thanks to the Staff in Ward F of the Stroke Unit, Royal Victoria Hospital and to Peter Carty Funeral Directors who provided such wonderful support, empathy and professionalism, the kindness you showed to us all will never be forgotten. Thanks also to Dawn Purdy and the Staff of the Bilberry Restaurant for their help during the Wake and for the lovely meal after the Funeral Service. To those who participated in the Mass, especially to Fr Cathal Gallagher who officiated the beautiful Service and to the Maguire family who played the music John Joe loved and which was such a fitting tribute to him. Thank you to Devenish Football Club, who have been of such immense support to us as a family during the Wake and at the Funeral with the Guard of Honour. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Month's Memory Mass will take place on Sunday 28th May at 11.30am at St Mary's Queen of Peace Church, Garrison.
