POLICE have launched an investigation following a report of a 'loud bang' close to the offices of Quinn Industrial Holdings Limited in Derrylin.
In a statement, a spokeswoman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said the incident which is believed to have “shook buildings” occurred in the vicinity of Ballyconnell Road at around 10.30pm last night.
Officers have carried out extensive enquiries and a police helicopter was deployed, however at this time nothing untoward has been found.
Police are reminding the public to ring the 101 number if they can help with enquiries. In the case of an emergency call 999 immediately.
