Happy birthday to twin brothers, Eric and Oliver Walmsley above, on their 90th birthday this week. Could they be our oldest male twins in Fermanagh, if not Northern Ireland?
Eric and Oliver were the first born sons of the late George and Isabella Walmsley, of Tullycaldrick, Kesh, who were born on October 13 1926 at home with Eric weighing in at 4lbs and Oliver weighing just 2lbs, with no incubators to assist them.
The twins grew up together and worked together all their lives, farming at Tullycaldrick until retirement.
Unfortunately, they are now apart, Eric living in his own home where he was born and Oliver, a resident at Trevenna Lodge Home, Killadeas but both still enjoy a smoke on their pipes.
While Oliver never married, Eric married Frances who predeceased him and they had 10 children. They were predeceased by a brother, Norman.
This great milestone was marked by the Walmsley family circle with plenty of birthday cards and cake.
