It has certainly been a busy spell over the festive season for Fermanagh singing talent Alice Lindsay.

The 15-year-old schoolgirl from Lisbellaw launched her first CD, entitled “My Lighthouse” at the start of December in the Stables, Enniskillen.

People from all over Northern Ireland were in attendance to support the launch, when Alice sang from her CD. A daughter of Will and Lynda Lindsay, Alice has three older brothers, Ryan, Aaron and Sam.

Some of the songs she performed were as a duet with her mother Lynda, who over the years has launched a number of CDs.

In addition, Alice invited her cousins Emily and Rachel Condy from Aughnacloy (Lynda Lindsey’s home town) to join her for a couple of songs at the launch. A special visitor Santa Claus also made an appearance on the night.

The launch for the CD came at an action packed time for the pupil at Devenish College, Enniskillen, who also performed at the school’s recent pantomime, “The Pied Piper of Hamelin.”

No stranger to the performance world, Alice has performed on some of her mum’s CDs from as early as the age of four. In fact other family members would have also featured in their younger years on Lynda’s CDs.

Sharing her singing talents from an early age, Alice could often be found joining her mother at concerts, and according to Lynda people were asking Alice was she going to do her own CD and the opportunity arose this year.

There has been great feedback to date for “My Lighthouse,” which is Alice’s own production and features her own choice of material including modern and traditional songs.
