Artists have been demonstrating their talents through a selection of works during a celebratory event.

Ardess Art Society’s 30 years, a milestone celebration was marked at an exhibition, launched in Ardess, near Kesh, recently.

People were invited to view paintings by the Society in Ardess Parish Hall, during what proved a very successful weekend venture.

The 30th Anniversary Exhibition of Ardess Art Society was opened on Thursday night, October 12, by Bryony May, Arts Manager, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.

The display was also open on Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14.

That Saturday afternoon, there was a painting demonstration by Dr Denise Ferran, President of The Royal Ulster Academy of Arts. An established artist, Denise paints the seascapes and landscapes which surround her studio in Inishowen. Brian Ferran, Denise’s husband, also took part.

A further exhibition, “30 years agrowing” was held in Enniskillen Library. It continued until last Friday.
