POLICE are trying to establish whether there is a link between two break-ins at local parochial houses in the space of three weeks.

A parochial house in the Ederney area was targeted sometime between 8.15pm and 10.10pm on Saturday (November 4), while one in the Trillick area was entered sometime between 8pm and 8.45pm on Saturday, October 14.

It is understood nothing was taken in both instances, a PSNI spokesperson said.

Detective Inspector Trevor Stevenson said: “Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident was reported. We are asking the public if they saw anything suspicious in and around these areas at these times.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are trying to establish if these burglaries are linked. If you can help please call the 101 number quoting reference number 1545 of 4.11.17.”

The detective added: “Alternatively information about crime can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
