PAST pupils from Enniskillen High School, now Devenish College, have joined forces to put on a pantomime in celebration of one of the school’s most treasured traditions.
For most of the cast it will have been three decades since they took to the stage. “The school pantomime has long since been the cornerstone of the school community and for many former pupils it’s a time they look back on with the fondest memories,” said one of the organisers, Shirley Donaldson.
The aim, she explains, is to create an opportunity for old friends to reunite and to take a walk down memory lane “as we honour a school and the people who worked hard to provide us with so much more than academic ability.”
‘Four Weddings and a Reunion’ will include recollections of past pantomimes and will feature cameo roles from a number of former pupils. “We are looking forward to welcoming former pupils, family and friends,” said Ms Donaldson.
The pantomime, which will be in addition to the school’s annual Christmas show, takes place on Thursday, December 28 at Devenish College.
Tickets are available from Craigville Garden Centre and Blooming Lovely. All proceeds are being gifted to Devenish College. Anyone wishing to get in contact with organisers should e-mail: shirleyedonaldson@hotmail.com.
