What are your hopes for your future?
I hope to go into practical filmmaking, whether it be Youtube or the film industry. I have a high interest in Photography also.
How did you get involved in the Uniting Erne East programme?
Through friends really. Josh McNally (United Champion) told me about it last year; it sounded like it was for a great cause and a fun opportunity to do something different so I decided to go along and join the group.
What were you doing in your local area before being involved in this programme?
Before becoming involved in the programme, I was going to college, skateboarding around with some friends in Enniskillen, and playing music
What does being a United Champion mean to you?
I am proud of being a United Champion as it has allowed me to be involved in a great programme and give back to the local community through fundraising and volunteering.
What benefits do you think the programme has for the Erne East area?
I think the Uniting Erne East programme is a great way for people from different areas and backgrounds to have the opportunity to be working towards the same goal; overall it brings people together.
Did you have any pre-conceptions about people from different backgrounds before you became a United Champion?
No, I don’t think I had any real pre-conceptions. I am a pretty open-minded person and have always mixed with people from different backgrounds at college and through skateboarding. But the programme has encouraged me to learn more about people from different backgrounds.
What are your hopes for the future of the Erne East area?
For more groups such as Uniting Erne East to form! It’s a brilliant opportunity to pick up some team building skills as well as work experience.
What would be your key message for good relations?
That we should all work together – often we have the same goals and we can achieve great things if we work together.

The United Champions are a steering group of 16-24 year olds from the Erne East area of Fermanagh who are spreading positive good relations messages through sports and creative activity and are working towards becoming the next generation of community leaders.
