Following discussions this week Ballinamallard United FC and Harry McConkey have agreed a three year contract to manage the Ferney Park Club.
A Club spokesperson said: “We are delighted that Harry has agreed terms to return to the managerial position at the Club. An extremely well respected football player, coach and manager he has proved his credentials over and over again.
“We are all aware that there is significant change at Ferney Park with the team dropping into the Championship, this of course will require amendments to our strategy moving forward.
“Ballinamallard of course do not have the budgets of Larne and Portadown, however we will not be found wanting in effort and enthusiasm. We look forward to, and will embrace the challenge of the Championship.”
Harry McConkey said: “Firstly I thank the Club and its representatives on their handling of the discussions during this week. The Committee has been very understanding and have helped me find solutions to difficult situations.
“Now that we have clarity around of the way forward I am keen to get to work immediately. I am fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead, but now it’s time to roll the sleeves up and put my words and ideas into action.”
