There was a great turn out for the Dessie and Crow Memorial Tractor Run on Sunday October 14. Tractors queued at the gates of RTD Crawford, Lisbellaw from midday and by 1.30pm the spacious yard on the Drummeer Road was nearly full. Over 130 tractors took part in the run which brought out over 200 spectators. Crowds came from across the county and beyond to support the Dane Family's Tractor Run in memory of Dessie McKeown and Trevor (Crow) Dane, who both sadly passed away in the last year.

After a short speech from Frank Latimer, the tractors filed out of the yard and proceeded on the 18 mile tractor run through Lisbellaw towards Garvery, Tempo, Imeroo and back to Lough Eyes. The route was planned so as to pass by the houses of the two men of whom the tractor run was in memory of. Along the route hundreds of people came out to watch the huge array of tractors pass by, from vintage through to the latest New Holland prototype tractor.

Those who were in attendance on the day were extremely generous, donating money towards the charities of ‘Action Cancer’ and ‘Chest Heart & Stroke.’ All money raised will be divided equally between the two charities.

The family thanks all those who helped, collected, donated time, money and resources, marshalled and of course, participated in the run which made the event such a great success.
