Lisbellaw Primary school children set to sing for Pudsey.

The lucky children of Lisbellaw Primary have been selected to represent Fermanagh and participate in this year’s Children in Need choir.

The children already have the experience of the Ulster choir success to back them up. The primary school choir were finalists in the BBC Radio Ulster choir of the year competition last year. The children had six weeks to learn and rehearse the song “A million dreams” from the movie the “The Greatest Showman”. The choir will then perform this on the BBC for Children in Need day on Friday 16 November. The event will take place in the Ulster American Folk Park Museum where they will be broadcast live to the nation.

The children got a shock when they got a surprise visit from no other than Pudsey himself when he popped into the Lisbellaw school to see how rehearsals were going recently. The school was buzzing on the day of Pudsey’s arrival. The trip provided the children with the chance to experience a taste of TV when the BBC filmed their progress.

The young people are currently gearing up for their big Belfast trip on 13 November where they will visit BBC studios for a rehearsal. Excitement is high for this huge event where they will rehearse and record their song.

As if the experience wasn’t exciting enough all expenses are paid for by the BBC!

Tune in to BBC on Friday 16 November from 9.30pm to see the children’s big performance.
