The magic of Christmas was brought to life last week when St. Michael’s College held their much anticipated annual carol service at St. Michael’s Church in Enniskillen.
The church was packed to capacity and those in attendance were treated to an array of performances from the junior and senior choirs, brass band and Irish traditional group as well as congregational carols that filled the air. Readings and reflections were also read by students.
The magical sound of music and song thronged the air with the congregation certainly feeling that the true magic of Christmas had begun.
Carina McGready Head of Music commented: “This was a truly magical night. The atmosphere created by all performers through the variety of pieces has created and given a very special message to all in the congregation and those also viewing in online re the true meaning of Christmas.”
She added: “Our pupils are an absolute credit to our school and Parish. Their dedication and commitment over the last few months is a testament to how they value this special night in the school calendar”.
Solo performers on the night included: Peter Mc Mahon, Ben Kettyles, Alex Kelly, Ronan Lunney, Finn mc Quillan, Cal Blake and Cillian Mc Manus.
Other musical performances on the night were performed by Keilan Colville, Louie Bannon and Sean O’Brien.
Readings and reflections were read by: Oisin Leonard (Head Boy), Ben Kettyles, Finn McQuillan, Eoin Bannon and Fergal Quinn.
