The Fermanagh Harriers held their annual Boxing Day event on Wednesday.
Large crowds of onlookers and supporters lined the streets of Enniskillen for the occasion.
Longtime Hunt stalwart Edward McLaughlin was present with three of his homebred Irish draft horses ridden by Peter Little, William Anderson and Robert Anderson.
The mounted field enjoyed panoramic views of the Erne from Victor Bothwell’s land of Dunbar and were treated to a superb jumping exhibition by Ciara Hambly of Dunbar House, on a lovely coloured colt. Following the Hunt, tea was provided bt Frankie and Tina Quigley at the Silver Swallow and was much enjoyed by everyone present.
The Master and Huntsman Patrick Murphy was assisted by Gerry Mullarkey and Frankie Quigley. Secretary of the Hunt Caitriona Conlon-Dempsey and Chairman Padraig Sheridan.
Children’s Hunting recommences on Saturday in Donagh and there will be a children’s Hunt on New Year’s Day in Clones. The Hunt Ball will take place on Saturday January 19 at the Killyhevlin Hotel.
