Enniskillen ComicFest will return this year for its fourth edition. Taking place over two days, Friday May 10 and Saturday May 11, a host of special guests from the comic book world will take residence at St. Macartin's Cathedral Hall, Enniskillen for the popular convention.

The first guests have recently been announced and the strong line-up includes three legends of British comics: Mick McMahon, Ian Gibson and Mike Dorey.

Mick McMahon drew some of the most iconic Judge Dredd stories as well as Slaine and the ABC Warriors for 2000 AD. During his long career he has drawn a Cybermen story for Doctor Who Magazine and also drawn for Sonic The Hedgehog and Batman.

Ian Gibson is best known as co-creator (with Alan Moore, who went on to write Watchmen and V For Vendetta) and artist of The Ballad Of Halo Jones for 2000 AD. His other credits in 2000 AD include Judge Dredd and Robo-Hunter. He has also drawn several series for DC Comics in the US as well as Star Wars, Steed, Mrs. Peel and the X-Men.

Mike Dorey will be making his first appearance as a guest at a Comic Convention. Mike worked on almost every British comic of the 1970’s and 1980’s -Warlord, Tornado, 2000 AD, the Victor, Battle, Action, the New Eagle and Roy Of The Rovers.

This year will also see the return of two Beano creators, Nigel Parkinson and Nika Nartova. Nigel returns to ComicFest having been at the convention back in 2017. He has been the main artist on Dennis The Menace in the Beano for several years and has drawn most of the characters in both the Beano and the Dandy. Nika colours all of Nigel’s work in the Beano as well as a variety of other strips.
