The Equine Careers Day at Enniskillen Campus, CAFRE, was well supported by students and representatives from the equine industry.
In addition to seeking out career opportunities, students also learned about bursaries awarded by a number of leading industry partners.
Councillor Howard Thornton, Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh Council, speaking at a lunch explained how the Campus enjoys a worldwide reputation for excellence in equine education which the Council is extremely proud.
He also welcomed some of the leading industry representatives to the event and also students who travel from as far as Germany, Spain and the USA to participate in courses.
One of the exciting opportunities is for the Head of Campus, Seamus McAlinney and a number of students are spending one week in Kentucky on the first industry visit of its kind from any Northern Ireland Department. During their stay, they will meet with industry leads.
One of the students travelling is Naoisa Faux from Aghadrumsee who is studying for her BSC Honours degree.
