Q: Is there particular song that reminds you of childhood memories and family time?

A: When I was a child I had a Disney VHS (we didn’t have Netflix back then!) and it was Disney sing a long songs Disneyland edition. All of these songs encapsulate my wonderful childhood and the start of my love of music and performing.

Q: Which songs take you back to your teenage years?

A: Growing up Westlife and the Spice Girls played a huge role. Can’t wait to see Westlife live again! However during my teenage years I explored live acoustic and rock type music gigs in Fermanagh and the band scene or “Rock the Lough” bands were influential and a lot of fun at that age.

Q: What music gets you through tough times?

A: During tough times the only music that can lift me are musical theatre pieces. Ive always loved music that tells stories and I love the drama of most Broadway and West End soundtracks. Les Miserable, Wicked and West Side Story are my favourites and I love seeing shows live.

Q: What type of music would best describe your first love?

A: Great question! The Infinity on high album by Fall out Boy springs to mind. However currently: Electric Six.

Q: If you could choose a band to play on the soundtrack of you life who would it be?

A: I’m not really into bands as such-but I owe a lot to Alan Menken as a Disney composer so it would have to be him. I also would maybe love John Williams to collaborate and his orchestra to play it as I also love emotional film scores.

Q: If you could play a song to give you confidence what song would it be?

A: Any of the songs when me and the girls go for a road trip. That playlist in the car we’ve created gets us all confident. Nathan Carter, Michael Buble, Mylie Cyrus Ellie Goulding, Ariana, and Beyoncé all feature.

Q: What song brings back happy memories and why?

A: Mostly Abba songs do this as it reminds me of family parties at home. Also Sweet Caroline Neil Diamond, My way Frank Sinatra and Paper Roses. I come from a big townie family who all loved to hog the mike at family gatherings.

Q: If you could choose three songs to listen to for the rest of your life what would they be and why?

A: My three songs I’d chose to listen to for the rest of my life would be:

1. Feed the birds from Mary Poppins because I cry every time.

2. Defying Gravity from Wicked because it tells me I’m invincible and I can achieve anything I want to

3. Happily ever after soundtrack Magic Kingdom.

Q: What song reminds you of your one true passion?

A: At the minute I’m really enjoying The greatest showman-who isn’t? “This is me” is a fantastic song about owning who you are and wearing your scars with pride. My absolute passion is helping people through music and this song can be applied to all age groups and abilities. I have big passion for helping the learning disability community as well as Alzheimer groups and young children.

A: Q: What song reminds you of the one place you love to visit?

My first time to Florida I was ten. And it’s one place I keep going back for more. During my degree I did an International College programme with Disney. The entire Fantasmic soundtrack means the world to me for many reasons. What a wonderful experience and when I see Cinderella castle I feel like I’m home.
