Fermanagh 0-08

Kildare 0-06

Is it possible to have a two point hammering? if it is then Fermanagh earned won against Kildare last night (Saturday).

Rory Gallagher's men were much the better team throughout and only for some poor finishing they would have had this game out of sight long before the final whistle.

As it was Ryan Jones popped up with the last two points of the game to secure the deserved win.

Fermanagh hit their eight points from 22 shots while Kildare managed their six points from 11 shots. Double the shots taken shows Fermanagh's dominance all over the field.

At half time they were two points ahead with Sean Quigley book ending the half with two free kicks.

In between Ryan Jones, Conall Jones and Eoin Donnelly had all pointed from play for Fermanagh. Donnelly though had to go off injured on the twenty minute mark with a hamstring problem.

At the other end Fermanagh constantly overturned the Kildare attack with the Lilywhites lacking any pace in their play.

Adam Tyrrell kicked two points for the visitors with fergal Conway adding a third.

In the second half both teams managed just three points apiece. Neil Flynn with two placed balls from the visitors along with a Conway point from a mark had the sides all level after Quigley had pointed a free.

And the stage was set for Lyons who stepped up with two scores to give Fermanagh a famous win.

There were excellent performances all over the field for Rory Gallagher's men with Ciaran Corrigan the undoubted man of the match with his energy, work rate, pace and intelligence on the ball all to the fore.

Next up is a trip to Donegal for unbeaten Fermanagh.
