Democratic Unionist leader Arlene Foster has won Female Politician of the Year at a prestigious ceremony in London tonight.
The Fermanagh-south Tyrone MLA won the award at the Asian Voice and Political and Public Awards, hosted by Labour MP Keith Vaz.
She was presented the award by Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow who said: "Whatever your politics you must recognise distinction and leadership quality and sheer resiliance and toughmindedness, because these are key political attributes and they are Arlene's attributes."
Past winners of awards at the event include Civil Rights Leader Rev. Jesse Jackson, former Prime Minister David Cameron and broadcaster Moira Stuart.
