Enniskillen has been named as one of the best places to live in the UK by The Times newspaper.
Described by The Times as "a super-friendly market town on the River Erne, with good manners and even better looks," Enniskillen was included in the 2019 definitive guide.
Holywood, Co. Down was named as the regional winner, taking the title of 'Best in Northern Ireland,' but with a "beautiful a setting as you can imagine," "sparkling water and brooding mountains," the Fermanagh town was listed as one of the top five places in Northern Ireland to live.
The Hollyhill area of Enniskillen was noted as the "best address" by The Times for having the "finest properties and views" and a convenient 15-minute walk to the town centre. Qualities of the town that were also regarded highly by the newspaper were its educational institutes, air quality and its broadband in urban areas. Stating "why we love it," The Times wrote: "For its fair ways: golf and friendly faces."
Other Northern Ireland 'Best Places to Live' included on the guide alongside Enniskillen were Ballycastle, Belfast: South and Hillsborough.
