The Junior Cup final fiasco looks like it has reached a conclusion with confirmation from Enniskillen Rangers and Tummery Athletic that the final will take place this Saturday, May 8, at 12noon in Ferney Park.
A long drawn saga saw Rangers re-instated into the competition after their semi-final conquerors Bessbrook United were adjudged to have played an ineligible player.
The IFA’s Junior and Youth Committee had sided with Bessbrook United on the issue but the IFA Board over-ruled this decision and replaced Bessbrook with Enniskillen Rangers.
Bessbrook subsequently appealed this decision but an IFA Appeals Committee upheld the decision to re-instate Rangers.
And the two Fermanagh and Western sides will now do battle for the Blue Riband of Junior football this Saturday.
