A new stained glass window has been installed in Garrison Parish Church by the parents, brother and sisters of Neil Graham, in memory of their beloved son and brother whose life was ended at just 17years old on May 22, 2018 in a tragic accident at his workplace.

The beautiful window was the brainchild of Neil's dad, Eddie Graham, who wanted an everlasting memory of his son in the church he loved so well.

The window was designed by Neil's sister Rebecca Graham, with input from the rest of the family. It was made by Michael Guy and his team from Portadown Stained Glass Studio in Portadown.

The window was dedicated to the glory of God at a special service on Sunday June 9 by the Rector of Garrison Parish Church, Reverend Canon Ngozi Njoku. A large number of family, friends and young people attended the service led by the Rector and the preacher was Reverend Chris MacBruithin, Curate Assistant from Enniskillen Cathedral. The new window frame was made by Walter Campbell, Ballinamallard and the other work to the church porch was carried out by William Stewart, Derrygonnelly.

A lesson was read by the Rector and the Gospel was read by Eddie.

A thank-you to all involved in the service and the window installation was given by Neil's mum, Joy Graham. Joy also read a poem and a short tribute to Neil reminding everyone of the charismatic young man he was and his love for life.

During the tribute, Joy said: "We would like to say to everyone that the most important thing for us is to keep Neil’s memory alive and this window will certainly do this. We want to remember Neil’s mannerisms, his wit and quirkiness. His smartness and his overwhelming kindness and his love of life."

She continued: "For all his cousins and good friends we want to say – Make Neil proud of you, when you meet him again he can say, well done, you did your best. We want everyone to always talk about Neil, to keep his memory alive, that is so very important to us, never ever stop talking about him."

"We are so grateful to our families and our many faithful friends and neighbours for the support they have given us, the visits, the texts, cards and flowers and food and many thoughtful gifts. You have been our rock of support. Our door is always open and we are always glad to welcome you and as time goes on we need your support even more," Joy added.

During the service Lynda Lindsay sang two pieces, 'On Eagles’ Wings' and 'You Raise Me Up.' The choir were present for the service and the organist was Doreen Earls.

Following the service refreshments were served in the Gillaroo Centre in Garrison.
