Police in Omagh are appealing for witnesses following two reports of hit and run incidents in the Fintona and Seskinore areas on Friday 2nd August.

Constable Bradley said, " At around 7.30pm it was reported that a vehicle parked in the Main Street area of Fintona had been hit by car which had then failed to stop. 

A short time later a second report was received that another parked car had been hit on the Main Street, with significant damage being caused. It was reported that a burgundy/maroon Ford Focus was involved, however the driver failed to stop and was seen driving off in the direction of the Moylagh road, Beragh."

Police have stated that they believe these incidents are linked.

Police are keen to identify the driver of the burgundy/ maroon Ford Focus and have asked anyone in the areas between 7.30 and 7.45pm on Friday 2nd August who witnessed the incidents to please contact police in Omagh on 101 quoting reference number 1962 02/08/19. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
