Following their first sell-out show in Charlie’s Bar back in March, Rory and the Island featuring Sean Magee will return to Enniskillen next week for another lively night of original songs mixed with trad fiddle.

Fresh from supporting Welsh rock band Feeder at the Shoreline Music Festival, Rory Gallagher and Sean Magee will bring summer to a close with another live gig in the loft of Charlie’s Bar, Enniskillen on Friday, August 30 at 9.30pm.

Over the past year the duo have released two new singles, one of which was recorded in the famous Abbey Road Studios in London and the other was selected by RTÉ radio as their number one recommendation and has been added to their playlist.

Local musician Sean Magee is renowned for his upbeat live solo gigs. His goal for 2020 is to put out his own original music and he has his sight set on performing more solo shows and festivals. Ahead of his performance with Rory and the Island at Shoreline, Sean opened Sunday night of the festival with a solo set showcasing his musical talents, seamlessly shifting from guitar to fiddle mid-song.

Rory is a Donegal singer-songwriter and former bass player and lead vocalist of Irish Indie/Pop/Punk group ‘The Revs’ from 2000 to 2007. During his time with The Revs, the band released numerous hit radio singles and three albums. Rory went on to co-own The Island Bar in Lanzarote for six years, during which he welcomed numerous well-respected musicians to perform at the venue including Irish trad player Sharon Shannon and Josh McClorey of The Strypes. Rory started releasing his new material under the name ‘Rory and the Island’ and is now touring with Sean Magee and other talented guest musicians.
