Three men and a woman with addresses in Cavan Town have appeared at a special court in Omagh charged in connection with a series of burglaries and attempted burglaries in County Fermanagh.

Cseba Itchiko (34), Kristztian Kovacs (19), Alex Kozdak (28) and Gyorgy Kozak (33), faced multiple charges of burglary, attempted burglary, and going equipped for burglary.

They were given an address of Convent Court, Main Street, County Cavan,

The court also heard how Kovacs and Kozdak faced charges of driving without licences or insurance.

The charges related to a series of incidents in Fermanagh between June 12 and August 21.

It is alleged the incidents took place in the Enniskillen, Maguiresbridge, Lisbellaw, Tempo and Fivemiletown areas.

A Hungarian interpreter stood in the dock beside the defendants and translated the charges to defendants during the hearing on Bank Holiday Monday.

Defence solicitor Martin Corrigan told the court that he was not applying for bail, as no suitable addresses could be found.

The four were remanded in custody to appear by videolink at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on September 16.

As the four were being led out of Omagh court to two waiting police vans, a woman carrying a miniature Yorkshire terrier approached the vans and shouted to the defendants in Hungarian.

Police had to move her away on a couple of occasions before the defendants were finally driven away.
