PHONE lines to Salisbury District Hospital are now back up and running, staff have confirmed.

A spokesperson said: "Our switchboard is now working as normal thanks to the hard work of our Facilities, Estates and IT teams to fix the fault. The hospital would like to thank the public for their patience today when contacting the hospital.

"There are still a small number of direct dial phone numbers that do not work. We are working with BT to have these fixed by the end of tomorrow, September 11.

"The hospital is sorry for any inconvenience today’s switchboard issues have caused to the public but would like to thank our staff, suppliers and partners in the community for their support. Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust will be conducting a full review, as is common practice for any incidents."
