A body was recovered by the North West Mountain Rescue Team (NWMRT) after they were tasked to assist in a search for a vulnerable missing person.
Following a callout on Saturday, October 12, the NWMRT were tasked by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) at 11.07pm.
A spokesman for the NWMRT stated: "The team were tasked by the PSNI to assist in a search for a vulnerable missing person. The team responded and initiated a search plan but sadly a short time later a body was recovered."
"Sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. Thanks to the Police Service of Northern Ireland," the NWMRT spokesman concluded.
