A local musician says he feels “physically sick” after thieves broke into his car stealing £3,000 in cash and sentimental possessions.

John Garrity had parked his white BMW (pictured above) in a carpark on the Wellington Road, Enniskillen by the Ulsterbus Depot on Sunday night (October 20) when thieves smashed the passenger window and stole a sum of £3,000 in cash, music equipment and other possessions.

“I had money that I wanted to bring down to the Credit Union, along with leads and a microphone,” explained John. Due to the sentimental value of his microphone, John has appealed specifically for its return: “If somebody can leave the microphone somewhere that somebody is going to find it. I don’t care how I get it, I just want it back.”

“I’m just in a bad way about it. Nothing like this has happened to me before, I have had small losses but nothing to this extent,” he added.

“I feel physically sick that someone could turn around and do that on me,” he shared, adding: “It’s constantly on my mind. I feel in a state of shock that someone would break into my car and steal that amount of money.”
