As was expected, former Ulster Unionist MP Tom Elliott has been selected to stand in Fermanagh South Tyrone in next month's General Election.
He will be the only Unionist candidate to run in the constituency after DUP leader Arlene Foster said last week that her party would not be fielding a candidate and would be putting the party's support behind Mr. Elliott if he decided to run.
Mr. Elliott won the seat in the 2015 General Election as a Unionist Unity candidate before Sinn Féin's Michelle Gildernew reclaimed the seat in the 2017 election, defeating Mr. Elliott.
Mrs. Gildernew is among hoping to retain her seat in the December 12 elections.
Alongside Mrs. Gildernew and Mr. Elliott, Matthew Beaumont from the Alliance and the SDLP's Adam Gannon have also been confirmed as candidates.
Councillor John McCluskey and Caroline Wheeler are thought to be considering putting their names forward as candidates.
