A “tentative date” of December 17 has been sent for the preliminary investigation into the case involving the death of four people at a house fire in Derrylin in February 2018.

Daniel Allen, 29, with an address of Molly Road Derrylin, is charged with the murder of Denise Gosset, Sabrina Gosset, Roman Gosset and Morgana Gosset. He appeared via video link at Fermanagh Magistrates Court this week.

The prosecution informed the court that contact had been made with a witness in America and that they were endeavouring to set up a time suitable for a live link and that the time difference needed to be taken in to account.

The prosecution said they were hopeful they could “work around this”.

The case was adjourned for a week for mention with District Judge Stephen Keown stating that a “tentative” date of December 17 could be set for the preliminary investigation.
